Dear Brothers and Sisters. Before I joined the church, I grew up on a beautiful island called Guam. All I knew was the small island. I didn’t know about the rest of the world or the U.S.A. When I moved to the states with the Loosle’s, I had a lot of opportunities. I learned about scouts, school, and I started attending the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I didn’t know about Jesus Christ or that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me. I’d seen missionaries on Guam before, but I didn’t know who they were.
The secret to wealth building is simple on any income:
Invest for the long term
No debt
Marry well
Stay healthy
Last summer my wife and I were driving home from a wonderful vacation. We had just spent 10 days on the beautiful island of Guam. We were tired from the flying and were excited to get home. We just needed to make the four-hour drive from Salt Lake City to St George Utah. My wife calls our two boys at home to warn them that they have four hours to get the house clean! Our youngest tell his mom “The house is really warm – I’m not sure the Air Conditioner is working
Nephi and his family had been traveling in the wilderness for eight years. They finally get to a nice place with water, trees, ocean, and food! There was so much bounty there they called it Bountiful! Nephi rests up for a while, then is called to the mountains for a talk with the Lord, wherein the Lord commands him to build a ship!
He continued, “As a bishop I am always wanting those confessing transgressions in my office to feel the love of the Savior in relation to his infinite Atonement, but I also want them to feel the weight, or godly sorry, for what they have done.”
Over the past few months I’ve had multiple conversations on the differences between a Sin and a Transgression. After some studying, the following is what I’ve found. Elder Oaks Explains Elder Dallin H. Oaks explained the difference between sin and… Continue Reading →
When you are married you combine all aspects of your lives together. One of the most important aspects of being married to doing a budget (also knows as a family financial plan). Money is one of those things that we don’t like to talk about because it makes us uncomfortable.Â
Imagine the following. A young man going to see his Bishop. the Young man confesses to his Bishop about how he has viewed pornography a few times over the past few months. This young man promises to stop.  The first thing the Bishop does is to have him stop taking the sacrament (and helping prepare/bless/pass )for a few weeks.
Picture in your mind having a five-dollar bill. Now, what could you do with that $5 bill? In and by itself, there isn’t a whole lot that $5 will get you. A cup of coffee at Starbucks? Maybe some fast food for lunch? Buy some gas to get you to work?
